Irwin’s Sliced White Batch Bread
Batch Bread is what Irwin’s is most famous for! The bread when it comes out of the oven is ‘batched’, hence the name, it takes nearly 24 hour baking process; from the mixing and fermenting of the dough to the baking and resting of the bread.
The technique of baking batch bread has been handed down through generations of the Irwin’s family. Irwin’s Batch Bread is baked on the sole of the oven which gives the bread a crunchy top and bottom crust with no crusts on the sides of the bread at all.
